Knautz, Irene Katherine
Passed away safely into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, December 2nd, 2024, at her late residence, in Courtland, with her loving son Jack by her side. Born in Szentgotthard, Hungary daughter of the late Joseph Knautz and the late former Josephine (Schuster) Knautz. Irene is survived by her Son Jack Knautz and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her three brothers and three sisters: Ann Kekstetter, Josephine (George Shelton), Hilda (James Hanlon), Joseph (Julie) Knautz, Frank (Shirley) Knautz, and John (Shirley) Knautz.
When her health allowed Irene attended both St. Ladislaus R.C. Church, Courtland and Church of Christ, Tillsonburg. She worked hard as a volunteer at the Multi-Service Centre, Tillsonburg where she helped with (Tele Health) and drove people for their medical appointments. Irene worked as a Housekeeper and later did Seasonal Tobacco Work.
Friends, neighbours and relatives are welcome to visit on Friday, December 6th, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes- Burial and Cremations Services Inc., 262 Broadway St., Tillsonburg. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 6th, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 51 Venison St. W., Tillsonburg, by Rev. Fr. Seejo John. Interment to follow at St. Ladislaus R.C. Cemetery, Courtland. Everyone who knew Irene is invited to share favourite memories, upload photos, express personal condolences, order flowers or contribute memorial donations to the “Alzheimer Society” via Irene’s online tribute page at www.verhoevefuneralhomes.com or by contacting the Maurice J.
