Moncton, NB – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Edouard Léger, 89, that occurred on Wednesday December 25, 2024, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Health Center in Moncton, NB.
Born in Cocagne, NB, he was the son of the late Donat Léger and the late Delia (Cormier) Léger.
Edouard worked as an owner operator with CN Intermodel for a large part of his trucking career.
He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Anise (LeBlanc) Léger; by his daughters: Pauline Adams (Darrell) of Charlottetown, PE, Joanne Léger (Laurie) of Cap-Pelé, and by his sons: Paul Léger (Linda), Rhéal Léger (Lise), Charles Léger (Carol) of Irishtown and Denis Léger (Violet) of Moncton. Also 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, also one brother Alonzo in Shediac, as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sisters: Jeannita, Clara and Andréa and his brothers: Ronald, Cléophas and Yvon.
Visitation will be held at the Saint-Pierre-de-Cocagne Church Slumber room in Cocagne, NB Thursday January 2, 2025, from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9 pm and on Friday January 3rd, 2025, from
9 am to 10:45, followed by a funeral mass at 11am.
Donation in Edouard Léger’s memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
