Dieppe, NB – Antoinette “Tony” Boudreau went home to Jesus on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at the age of 83.
Antoinette was born to the late Onésime and the late Elise Melanson (Gaudet) of Saint-Paul-de-Kent.
She grew up in a large loving family of 8 sisters and 3 brothers. Leaving behind: her siblings: Bernadette Robichaud (Alyre) of Dieppe, Albertine Collette (Aldéo) of Ste-Marie, Aldéric (Oniva), Désiré (Denise) both of St-Paul, Rose-Marie Bourque (Ronald) of Moncton, Alma Boucher (Roger) of Ste-Marie and Magella Collette (Richard) of Moncton.
Antoinette married Léonce in 1963 and celebrated 60 years last July. They went on to have 2 children: Ginette Léger (Late Daniel) of Memramcook and Marc of Shediac. She also had 5 grandchildren: Anik (Trevor) of Memramcook, Janelle (Samuel), Jérémie both of Moncton, Myriam of Memramcook and Maxime of Shediac; also her 2 great grandsons: Jase and Dax who she adored; her sister-in-law: Gisèle of Notre-Dame; her brother-in-law: Gerard LeBlanc of Dieppe; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Her siblings she has joined: Odilla Brine (Camille), SR. Maria Melanson, Nélida and Louis.
Antoinette worked for over 30 years as a nurse aid in the recovery room at Dr. George-L.-Dumont Hospital. After her retirement she enjoyed traveling, walking, crosswords, cooking, baking, and spending time with her family and her precious grandkids.
According to Antoinette’s wishes, there will be no visits.
The funeral will take place at “Sainte-Thérèse de l’Enfant-Jésus” RC Church, Dieppe, Thursday, December 14, 2023 at 11am.
The burial will take place at Saint-Paul-de-Kent RC Cemetery later in spring 2024.
A special thank you to the staff at “Foyer Notre-Dame du Sacré-Soeur” in Dieppe for their excellent care and professionalism.
