83, of Halifax. It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Bob Jordan, on Friday, December 30, 2022, at Hospice Halifax. Bob was born in East Village, Colchester County, Nova Scotia to Alvin Balfour Jordan and Beatrice Annie Cooling.
Bob is survived by his loving companion Loretta Gray, former spouse, Phyllis, sons , Craig (Sharon), Brian, Philip (Tanya), his twin brother, Rod (Sylvia) and sister-in-law June Jordan. His grandchildren Kyle, Trent (Ashley), Katrina (Justin), Brett (Nick) Great Grand children, Mya,
Owen, Ryleigh and Margaret and many nieces and nephews who he was very fond of.
He was pre-deceased by his brothers Balfour (Nola), Melvin (Myrna) and Howard.
Bob successfully started and ran his own business, Atlantic Tire Services Limited in Dartmouth starting in 1974. His son, Philip took over the business in 2004. In his younger years, Bob loved to play ball and hockey, but golf became his passion, and he savoured being a member of River Oaks Golf Club. He was also a past member of Dartmouth Lions Club. Sports and outdoor activities were always enjoyed as he was blessed with many hours spent at the rink with his sons and grandchildren. Bob enjoyed traveling especially to the warm climates to the south in the winter months. Spending time with his grand children and visits with his great grandchildren were a highlight in his life.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of T.K. Barnard Funeral Home. A family celebration of life will be held at a later date at Cole Harbour Woodside United Church.
