at the age of 88 years:
Memorial Service: 2:00 p.m. January 20, 2024 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 721 2nd St. SE, Salmon Arm
Dad was born at the family homestead in Ceylon, Saskatchewan to his parents, Joseph and Agnes. Frank was one of ten children. They were Hungarian immigrants who were farmers and Frank always enjoyed farm life. When Frank was 18, he dedicated his life to his heavenly father Jehovah and was baptized.
Later, Frank met Ruby while in Saskatchewan and they enjoyed 64 years of marriage which began July 17th, 1959.
Shortly after, they welcomed two daughters, Lorraine (Nicola Fiorante) and Anna Marie (Sheldon Davis). In 1980, Frank and Ruby moved to Salmon Arm.
Frank was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Agnes Illes. He was grandfather to four grandchildren: Jennifer (Les Martin), Jared Bey (Miranda), Natasha (Kyle Micku) and Ryan Davis (Brenda); and great-grandfather to Lennie Bey, Leighton Bey, Ryder Micku and Aaliyah Micku.
As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Dad loved the truth and loved sharing the good news with others. He enjoyed many days in the ministry with his dear friends Steve and Marlene Paynton.
Frank continued to farm throughout his life and loved his cattle. He also helped his neighbours and others during the harvest season.
Frank always had such a good sense of humour. At one point, Frank owned a truck that he dubbed the “grasshopper killer machine.” He was delighted to receive a gift of a grasshopper to remind him of those good days.
The family would like to thank everyone for their support over the years and during this difficult time.
