It is with heavy heart that we announce the passing of Idalina Do Couto on Friday, July 19, 2024, at the age of 82 years old. Daughter of the late Maria da Gloria Avelar and late Francisco Linhares Ferreira Alves.
Devoted mother of Carlos Alberto Alves Mendonca, Jorge Alves Mendonca, Lidia Maria Alves Mendonca, Maria Hortensia Alves Mendonca, Margarida Alves Mendonca, Maria Eunoria Alves Mendonca, Michelle Tammy Rector.
Whether you were family or a friend, she always shared a beautiful smile, a good laugh, and warm hugs. She had a heart of gold and a personality of unconditional love, compassion and kindness. She will always be remembered for her passions for Gardening, Cooking Traditional Portuguese Meals and watching her favourite show The Golden Girls.
Predeceased by her siblings Joao Avelar, Mariazinha, Conceicao Pereira Alves, and Francisco Pereira Alves.
Cherished grandmother of Sean Albert Mendonca, Mark Alan Mendonca, Paul Nolan Mendonca, Alexander Antonio Mendonca Silva, Andrew Manuel Mendonca Silva, Ezequiel Junior Silva, Monica Dominique Silva, Mathew Andrad Silva, Celeste Marie Rector, Ethan Markus Rector Pigeau, Zackery Xiavier Morasch.
Equally loved and missed by her nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A mass in her honour will take place on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at 11:00 am at the Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Garson, followed by her burial at St. John’s Cemetery.
