Obituary
Howard (Howie) Wesley Walpole, age 67, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Rotary Hospice Stratford Perth on Sunday, April 16, 2023.
By his side was his devoted wife and best friend of 44 years, Jackie Lynn (Smyth) Walpole
Loving father of Erin Marleau (Stéphane) and Eric (Morgan). Proud grandfather of Nicholas, Gabriel, Emily, Julia, Jeremy and Evyn.
Beloved brother of Bob (Randy), Beth Wesolowski (Rick), Rick, Kate Keeling, Jim, Keith (Tammy), and uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his father Donald and mother Patricia, as well as step-father Clayton Kerr and brother-in-law Lyle Keeling.
Howie was patient and considerate. He loved to joke and had a wonderful sense of humour. Above all, he was a deeply loyal person – To his work, and most of all to his family. He will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him.
Howie was an employee at Boshart Industries in Milverton since 2002. His family extends their gratitude to the company and employees for their support during his illness.
Appreciation goes to Dr. Charles Gatfield at Happy Valley Family Health Team, the staff at Victoria Hospital Cancer Centre, as well as the above-and-beyond care and compassion provided by the staff at Rotary Hospice Stratford Perth.
Special thanks to Howie’s sister-in-law, Jean Grimsley, for her presence and support to both Howie and Jackie during his diagnosis.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation to celebrate Howard’s life on Thursday, April 20, 2023 from 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. at the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron St, Stratford, ON.
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Lupus Canada, Rotary Hospice Stratford Perth and LHSC-Regional Cancer Centre.
