Ramsdale: Howard Ivan –
A resident of Charing Cross, Howard Ramsdale passed away on December 26, 2024 at the age of 91.
Born in Raleigh Township, Howard was the son of Boyd and Eileen (née. Sykes) Ramsdale.
Beloved husband of 68 years to Henriette ‘Rita’ (née Israels).
Father of Wayne Howard Ramsdale (Catherine Lee), Michael William Ramsdale (Maggie Sanford) and predeceased by his infant son Thomas Daniel Ramsdale (1970).
Cherished Papa to Derick, Jesse and predeceased by his granddaughter Krystal. Great Grandfather to Adrianne, Morgan and great grandson Lucas and predeceased by Willow.
Survived by his sister Mary Konowich and predeceased by her husband John Konowich and his other siblings Charlotte and Charlie Day, Eva and Lloyd Coatsworth, George and Marion Ramsdale.
Howard had a long career as general machinist for 40+ years in Chatham-Kent. He was an avid hunter, fishermen and trapper for his entire life. Howard was proud to be one with the land that gave so much to him; his stewardship and commitment will live on forever.
Arrangements for Howard’s Celebration of Life will be coming shortly from the family. We thank you for your patience in this matter.
