Hilda
Patricia (Higgins) Burton – 94, of Kentville, passed away
after a brief illness in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville on
Thursday, March 7, 2024. Born in Hortonville, she was a daughter of
the late David and Myrtle (Nolter)
Higgins.
Prior to
retirement, Hilda worked for the Federal Government Dockyard, Halifax.
She was a parishioner of Orchard Valley Church, New Minas for many
years. Hilda was always kind, honest, elegant, full of grace and
integrity. She will be deeply missed.
Hilda is
survived by her brother, George (Sharon) Higgins, Lower Sackville; and
many nieces, nephews and extended family. In addition to her parents,
she was predeceased by her husband, Fred Burton; four brothers and
seven sisters.

Cremation has taken place and in
keeping with Hilda’s wishes there will be no visitation or
funeral service. A private family interment will take place in Elm
Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill. Donations in memory may be made to the
Canadian Red Cross or Orchard Valley United Church. Funeral
arrangements have been entrusted to the
White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services,
Kentville.
