Higgins, Josephine January 18, 1942 – August 30th, 2023
On August 30th at St. Joseph’s Villa, Dundas, Josephine Higgins passed peacefully in her 82nd year.
Beloved Mother of Patrick, Michael and Ashley (Brad). Sister of Margaret Harty, Bridghe Reilly and Patrick and Killian Higgins, all of Warrenpoint, Northern Ireland. Predeceased by her infant daughter Suzanne, parents Patrick and Josephine Higgins and sisters Mary Higgins and Eileen Welsh.
Josephine was a nurse who worked in many different roles. The last 25 years she ran Dromore House on Rock Chapel Road. She loved “the boys” she cared for and will be dearly missed by them.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday September 6 from 2-5 pm at Turner Family Funeral Home, 53 Main St. Dundas, Ont. Funeral will take place on Thursday September 7th at 11am at Turner Family Funeral Home.
Her children would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of St. Joseph’s Villa, Pine Grove and to St. Joseph’s Satellite Health Facility 8th Floor for the amazing care the provided their mother. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Joseph’s Healthcare Foundation or St. Joseph’s Villa Foundation.
