Obituary of Helmut Hubert Meier
Passed away peacefully on December 4, 2023 at Norfolk General Hospital in his 82 year. Beloved husband of Elizabeth Meier. Loving father of Alex (Mary), Nicolas (Alma) and Rudy. Cherished grandfather of David, Dimirti, Katie, Lea, Isabelle and Steph (Jon). Great-grandfather of Hudson. Predeceased by his parents Wilhelm and Helene and his sister Helga. Helmut loved to travel, dance, fish and enjoyed to eat good foods especially when he and Elizabeth were at unique destinations. He was a proud employee of Ontario Power Generation for many years. The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the kind staff on the third and fourth floors of the Norfolk General Hospital, Dr. Bard and Dr. Hynscht. As per Helmuts wishes, cremation has taken place. Private family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Thompson Waters Funeral Home. 102 First Ave, Port Dover (519)583-1530. For those wishing, donations can be made to Sick Kids Foundation, Canadian Cancer Foundation or The Heart and Stroke Foundation.
