Obituary of Helen Jewhurst
It’s with a heavy heart that we say good-bye to our Mother, Grandma and Great Grandma Helen Jewhurst
Helen was born in Harwich Township. She was the daughter of the late Jan and Zuzanna (Gregor) Mikulec.
Helen was the beloved wife of Neil Earl Jewhurst of Glencoe.
She was the devoted mother of 5 handsome sons: Mark (Sandra) of Blenheim, David (Debbie) of Dorchester, Scott (Clara) of London, and Paul (Geraldine) of BC. She has been reunited with her youngest son Christopher who passed in 1996.
Helen has many grandchildren that she adored: Larissa, Matthew, Richelle, Daniella, Paul, Leanna, Fernanda, Kim, Nichole, David, Lisa
and 5 dear to her heart Great Grandchildren Atlas, Logan, Sophie, Emily and Jolie.
Helen worked many years at the Newbury Four Counties Hospital. Her passion was her garden, which showed with the winning of awards that she received and with the vibrant, rich beautiful bouquets of flowers.
Helen’s other passion was being in the kitchen. She was an amazing cook and baker. (We can smell her apple pie now). She loved preparing meals for her family, who never left her house with empty stomachs or hands as Helen was always cooking for an army, or just knew that her boys could eat.
The family would like to send out a special thank you to all staff at Strathmere Lodge for their kindness, compassion and understanding.
Anyone wishing to remember Helen with a memorial donation, are asked to consider a donateion to Breast Cancer Society.
A private family service will be held January 18th at John C. Badder Funeral Home in Thamseville.
