Helen McKinnon Obituary
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Helen Marie (Richard) McKinnon, which occurred on Tuesday, November 19th, 2024, at Kings Way Care Center. Born on August 11th, 1950, in Saint John, she is the daughter of the late Elie and Rita Marie (Belliveau) Richard.
Helen worked at the Superstore for many years. She enjoyed quilting, flowers and travelling. She especially loved her grandchildren, they were her pride and joy. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Helen is survived by her daughters Melissa Pelletier (René), Kelly McKinnon; son Troy McKinnon (Michelle); brothers Leo Richard, John Richard (Theresa); sister Jeanette Richard; sister-in-law Debra Richard; brother-in-law Frank McKinnon (Hazel); grandchildren Aaliyah, Sebastien, Avery, Jackson, Brooke and Eleana; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Along with her parents, Helen was predeceased by her husband Richard, brother Donald and sister-in-law Joanne.
The family would like to thank the caregivers at Kings Way Care Center for the compassion and care given to their mother.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424) with visitation being held on Monday, November 25th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A private family interment will take place at St. Paul’s Cemetery at a later date. Donations in memory of Helen may be made to Kings Way Care Center or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
