Helen’s Obituary
Helen passed peacefully at the Willett Hospital in Paris on, August 8, 2024. Predeceased by the love of her life Jim in 1998, oldest daughter Audrey in 2009 and granddaughter Kelly in 2004. Helen was the loving mother of Vicki (Todd Pegg), Andrew, and John (Trish). Beloved Gramma/Nana to Tara Johnstone (Dale Brownscombe), Nicole Rosebrugh Laurier (Jason Laurier) and Bryanne Witney (Mason Hankinson), and extended family Joshua (Alison) Pegg, and Samuel Pegg. Great Nana to Frederick and Gordon Pegg.
After suffering a stroke in 2019, life was just never the same. Losing the ability to be as active and free to travel, golf, curl, walk, go to shows and play cards with the gang (you know who are are), and live life the way she loved. She lived a very full and active life, setting a lasting example for all of those she leaves behind. She was a dear friend to many and will be missed by all of those whose lives she touched along the way.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Dwayne D. Budgell Funeral Home. In accordance with Helen’s expressed wishes, cremation has already taken place. In Helen’s memory, donations to the Willett Hospital Transitional Unit would be appreciated by the family.
