It is with great sadness that the family announces Bob’s passing in Sudbury on Friday, May 17, 2024 three days shy of 94 years. Son of the late Tom and late Jessie Ann (née McCaskill) Price. Beloved husband of the late Joan (née Church) Price, and companion to Reta Dutly. Loving father of Tom, Tamela Price-Fry (Harry), Cindy-Lee Price-Santos (Rob) and late Jody Price. Predeceased by his brother George. Cherished grandfather of Alison Caruso (Mike), Courtney Ross (Rob Przybylski), Shay and Sarah Santos, and step-grandfather of Kate Hancock (Mike) and Jessica Pletch (Dan). Also, wonderful great-grandfather to Jack and Dorothy Caruso. Sadly, missed by his nieces, nephews, relatives, and many friends.
Bob was a natural athlete and in his early years he enjoyed playing baseball, hockey, swimming, and skiing. He also enjoyed golf in his retirement. Bob’s positive and kind nature made him a natural leader. He often said there was no such thing as “can’t … simply takeaway the “T”. He was a wonderful father and always enjoyed cooking family dinners and entertaining friends. Bob was always up for a friendly debate or discussion, particularly when talking politics.
As per his request, there will be no visitation or service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
