April 16th, 2024, Heather Feick passed away with her family at her side from surgical complications and a courageous battle with Parkinson’s.
Heather Dianne Feick was born on January 13, 1953 in St. Thomas Ontario, the youngest child of John (2011) and Joyce (1999) Crabe. She is pre-deceased by her brother Terry (2023) and sister-in-law Dawn (2024) Crabe. Heather will be missed by all her family including her sister in laws, brother-in-law, cousins, nieces’ nephews, condo, and Texas friends.
Dennis Feick proposed to the love of his life January 13, 1973 six months before Heather graduated from The College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nursing Assistant in June 1973. Dennis and Heather were married on a beautiful sunny day on April 27th, 1974 in Fingal, Ontario. Dennis and Heather moved around a lot with his employment with Ontario Hydro. Heather accepted various nursing roles at hospitals, nursing homes and retired from nursing with VON footcare. On March 2nd, 1978 they welcomed Colleen Marie followed by Edward George on January 8, 1983 and their family was complete. Heather adored her family deeply. Megan Alyssa was born 1995 to Colleen and James and was adopted by her loving parents Gary and Lenerdene Levesque in Ottawa Heather was very proud when her children got married Colleen married James Pinney in 2002. Edward Feick and Kari were married in 2008. Heather was very proud to become a grandma again in 2005 when Chloe Alyssa was born and in 2009 when Madison Megan was born. Heather was so excited to increase the number of grandchildren to 6 with addition of Colton James and Lauren Elizabeth Alec) and the birth of Georgia Dianne Lorraine 2008.In 2014, she was overjoyed to be re-united with Megan Alyssa (Christian).
Heather and Dennis enjoyed spending time with their grandchildren at their trailer in the summers as in the winters they travelled to Texas for 6 years. Heather loved the outdoors which led to many camping trips as a family and travelling, she loved gardening, the sunshine, sitting by the water watching birds and spending time with her family and husband. When the time came to move to town, they found the perfect spot so she could see water and birds right from the condo balcony. She fought a brave and courageous battle with Parkinson’s.
Thank you to the Critical Care Trauma unit for all their loving care toward Heather and the compassion they had for her family.
A Memorial Gathering will be held at the McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home 246 Thames Street South Ingersoll on Saturday May 11, 2024 from 2-4 pm.
Memorial donations to the Parkinson Foundation or London Health Sciences Victoria Hospital Critical Care Trauma Unit would be appreciated.
