Harvey (Tom)’s Obituary
After a long life that was well lived, passed away peacefully at Park Lane Terrace, Paris, Ontario on Wednesday May 15, 2024. Tom was 98 years of age. Cherished partner of Mae Litt. Predeceased by his beloved wife Anne Ingall (nee. Gates) in 2013. Loving father of Alison Musson (Brian) and the late Peter Thomas Ingall (2020). Forever loved grandfather of Seth and Maeve (Aela). Tom will be dearly missed by extended family and friends.
Tom will always be remembered for his dry sense of humour and for his work ethic both professionally as a Clerk with Canada Post and as a dedicated volunteer. Tom was proud to serve his country as a Gunner in the Royal Canadian Navy during the Second World War on the HMCS Poundmaker. He was a long-time member of the Glen Morris Lions Club, former member of the Probus Club of Preston-Hespeler and an elder at Glen Morris United Church. In 1967 he took on the task of hand-carving a totem pole as a Centennial Project. The totem pole became a landmark in the village of Glenn Morris and was often a checkpoint for local car rallies. Seeing an antique car parked by the Ingall property while the driver was admiring the totem pole was a common sight.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to the DWAYNE D. BUDGELL Funeral Home. Friends will be received at the Glen Morris United Church, 453 East River Road, Glen Morris, Ontario on Friday May 24, 2024 from 10 – 11 am. A Memorial Service will follow at 11 am. Rev. Michiko Bown-Kai will officiate. In Tom’s memory, donations to Glen Morris United Church or the Canadian Food Grains Bank would be appreciated by the family.
