Harvey Milligan passed away at the age of 73 at the Red Deer Hospice with his family around him. Born in Hanna, Alberta on December 17, 1950 and married Sherry Graham on April 6, 1974. Devoted parents to Lane, Corey and Miranda.
Harvey purchased his first backhoe in 1972 and started H.E. Milligan Trenching and Excavating Ltd. and operated it until 1996. He worked for Alberta Government Telephones, Nova Cor and City of Red Deer and various other companies throughout the years.
Farming was also a passion of Harvey’s. Together with his father, Mac, and his wife, Sherry, they grew export and domestic hay and raised purebred Red Angus cattle. Harvey was a natural salesperson who enjoyed meeting and talking to people. He likes to tell jokes and would often be the life of the party.
He was especially proud of his children and grandchildren! Getting together for family meals and hearing about activities the family was doing made him happy.
Harvey was survived by his loving wife, Sherry, children Lane (Lori), Corey(Nadiya), Miranda (Lee) Taylor; grandchildren Mayan, Peyton, Brooke, Kaleb, Cole; his father Mac Milligan and siblings Doug and Kenna and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his mother, Louise Milligan.
