Harvey Henry Beitz passed away on Friday, June 14, 2024, at Rockwood Terrace, Durham, in his 91st year. Beloved father of Barry (Donna) of Teeswater, Allan (Marnie) of Tiverton, RoseAnn (Tim) Koebel of Riversdale, Darryl (Lynn) of Durham, Darlene of Hanover, Susan (Pat) Helwig of Midland, and Jeff (Karen) of Durham. Harvey was a grandfather of 20 and great grandfather of 33. He will be missed by his siblings Anna Oehring of Walkerton, Florence Fischer of Hanover, Eugene (Edna) Beitz of Mildmay, Lorraine Schnurr of Mildmay, Jerry (Janet) Beitz of Hanover, sisters-in-law Rose Beitz of Palmerston, Jean Beitz of Mildmay, Dianne Beitz of Mildmay, Monica (Ken) Weber of Vancouver Island, and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his wife Caroline (nee Dolejsi), son Michael, siblings George, Clarence (Nora), Catherine (Lorne) Grubb, David, Melvin, Lorne, Theresa (Harvey) Huber, in-laws Bill Oehring, Bill Fischer, Lloyd Schnurr, and parents Anthony and Johanna (nee Hehn) Beitz.
Friends and relatives are invited for visitation from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at Cameron’s in Walkerton. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at Sacred Heart Church, Walkerton. Fr. Leszek Szczygiel officiating. Internment at Calvary Cemetery, Walkerton. Reception at Sacred Heart Church to follow.
