A Celebration of Life will be held to honour Luke on SATURDAY, JULY 6, 2024, at 1:30 PM (PST), at POWERS CREEK RETREAT: 2810 Smith Creek Road, West Kelowna, BC.
It is with deep sorrow and an unforgettable love that we announce the loss of Lucas Charles Hart, who passed away on February 6, 2024, in West Kelowna, British Columbia, at the age of 41.
Left to treasure Luke’s memory are those he held closest to his heart, including his loving wife of 13 years, Lindsay Hart; children, Avery, Adele, and Oliver; parents, Jim and Barb Hart; twin brother, Chad (Katie); sister, Kate, and niece, Taris, and nephew, Tyrel; and sister, Sara; in-laws, Dale and Barb MacDonald; sister-in-law, Jen (Brad); nephews, Owen and Gavin; as well as his childhood nanny, Val (Gary), who he adored; loving aunts and uncles; cousins; and many great friends and colleagues.
Born on April 15, 1982, in Kelowna, BC, Luke was the epitome of the “life of the party,” with a charisma that lit up any room he entered. His outgoing and friendly nature endeared him to all, and he effortlessly charmed everyone with his quick wit and infectious humour. Renowned for his ability to recall names and stories, he made each person he met feel special and valued.
Beyond his warm demeanour, Luke was the trusted advisor for friends and family, offering wisdom with a side of laughter. As the master of ceremonies at his friends’ weddings, he orchestrated unforgettable moments with his natural flair and comedic timing. Despite his jovial spirit, Luke was also incredibly smart and successful. He excelled in all he did, but his proudest accomplishment by far was his children. He loved them so much.
Luke’s love for the outdoors was evident in his passion for camping, quadding, snowboarding, golf, and baseball, and he was in his element when bantering back and forth on his fantasy hockey and football pools. Luke’s presence added laughter and warmth to every gathering; he left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
May your laughter echo in our memories forever, bidding farewell to a soul whose humour and kindness brightened our lives.
