Harold (Carmine) Locatelli
Passed away quietly with his son Skip at his bedside on July 3, 2023, at the Kemptville District Hospital at the age of 97 after a battle with heart disease. He was born on July 16, 1925, to Tullio and Agatha Locatelli (Masci) on Preston Street Ottawa, Ontario He is survived by his beloved son Skip Locatelli from Brockville Ontario. He was predeceased by his wife Greta Locatelli (Miriam) and his sisters Ida Germain and Josephine Germain, his brothers Angelo Locatelli and Rigo Locatelli. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Shawn and Dawn Locatelli, nieces and nephews and his many friends.
Harold started his career at the Chateau Laurier, in Ottawa, Ontario as a wine steward. He then went on to own and operate the International Hotel in Gananoque Ontario and the Revere Hotel in Perth Ontario. A new opportunity arose, and he went into business with his Brother Angelo Locatelli at Preston Hardware. The next venture was a motor home to travel around the country with his wife Greta and their favorite place was Alaska. The last venture was for a permanent home on River Rd in Osgoode Ontario.
Thanks to all neighbors and friends for their help and support in difficult times. Sincere appreciation to all the staff and friends at Kemptville Retirement Living for all the support and caring they provided to father. Special thanks to Doctors Brennan and Kelly at Osgoode Medical Centre for their many years of care and Dr Zakham at Kemptville District Hospital for her care and support to father in his final days.
Pre-arranged cremation services through Hulse, Playfair & McGarry with private celebration of life later. Memorials and donations can be made to Kemptville District Hospital.
