The family lived on a 55-acre hobby farm just outside of Picton with horses and cattle at various times. He spent his summers going to horse shows, baling hay, enjoying the water sports on Consecon Lake, and every July 1st, attending the Kingston family reunion which started the year he was born, continues to this day (90+ years) and is the longest continuous running family reunion in Canada. and continued with his ENT practice.
LeRoy loved to drive. He and Maureen drove an RV all over North America including a caravan trip to Mexico. LeRoy and Maureen loved to travel so much they purchased a travel agency. Cruises were the favorite way to travel. They travelled all over the world and even enjoyed a 79 day world cruise.
