1946 – 2023
Guido (Guy) Spadafora, 77, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, in Milton, Ontario.
Guido was born in Sant’Ippolito, Cosenza, Italy, to Pietro and Assunta, on April 14, 1946. He was a successful entrepreneur, with expertise ranging from restaurateur to custom home builder. But his favourite role was being a father and Nonno.
He loved spending time with his family, and creating memories with his grandchildren. He loved fishing in Bobcaygeon, mushroom hunting through silent wooded areas, growing fig trees from a splice, and tending a beautiful, bountiful garden. These were all special, unique talents and wisdom that he learned from his father, and he taught and passed on to his own grandchildren.
Guido is survived by his wife of 49 years, Lilian (Silvaroli); his children Mark, Jennifer and Peter-John; daughter-in-law Emily and son-in-law Rob; his four grandchildren Ava, Alexander, Brianna and Christian; and his sisters Rosie and Lina.
He is predeceased by his parents, Pietro and Assunta, and his brother, Gennaro.
Visitation will be held at McKersie & Early Funeral Home, 114 Main St. E, Milton, on Monday, August 21, 2023,
from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 9 p.m.
Funeral service will be held at Saint Benedict Parish, 300 Yates Dr, Milton, on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at 11 a.m.
Burial will follow at the Milton Evergreen Cemetery.
