Grant Andrew Buxton
1956-2023

Peacefully passing on August 3, 2023 surrounded by his loving family, Grant Andrew Buxton is survived by his wonderful wife Susan Nilsson-Buxton, daughter Courteney (Evren), son Kyle (Shayna), daughter Kaitlyn (fiance Sam), grandchildren Zeren and Kaia. Brother Philip (Maria, friend), brother Bruce (Wendy) and sister Jennifer, nieces Stefanie and Charlotte, nephew Alistair, sister-in-law Sharon (Curtis), father-in-law Hans (Terri) and mother-in-law Patricia. He is predeceased by mother Estelle Leslie, father James Henry, and sister-in-law Lynn Buxton.
Grant was a proud representative of the Huron Perth Real Estate Association in the Stratford Area. For 50 years was a contributing member of many Stratford community sports and social committees. Grant’s greatest achievement was his complete and unparalleled love for his family, as a dedicated husband, brother, father and papa. Grant and his loved ones would like to express special thanks to the London Diabetes and Kidney Associations, the London Health Science Centre (LHSC), Stratford General Hospital, the Trillium Gift of Life Network, as well as the many doctors, nurses and other health professionals that have assisted over the years. Grant also wanted to thank the colleagues he has worked with and the clients (friends) he had the privilege of serving and serving with over his 20 years in real estate.
A Celebration of Life will take place in the Reception Centre of the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Thursday, August 10, 2023 from 5 – 7 pm with Words of Remembrance at 6 pm.
In lieu of flowers, it was Grant’s wish that any memorial tributes be made in the form of charitable donations to any of the following: Stratford Youth Soccer Association, London Health Science Centre (Kidney Care Centre), London Diabetes Association or the Trillium Gift of Life Network.
