Grace Yvonne (Bonnie) Reid, née Davis, wife of Murray Alvin Reid (deceased), passed away peacefully in her sleep at Extendicare in Port Hope on Sunday, August 13th. Bonnie leaves her sons Dan (Karen) and Brent (Eric) and granddaughters Alex and Bella with happy memories of a life well-lived. Bonnie is also survived by her brothers Glenn Davis (Sharon) and David Davis (Marg).
Daughter of Mortimer Davis and Grace Harrison Davis, Bonnie was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario and worked in healthcare throughout her life, retiring from Homewood Health Centre as executive assistant to the CEO.
In her last years of her life, Bonnie lived with health challenges and received great support from the staff at Empire Crossing (Port Hope) and exceptional care and kindness from the staff at Extendicare (Port Hope). A private interment has taken place.
Bonnie’s faith was an important part of her life. She will be greatly missed.
