Peacefully at her home in Alvinston, on Thursday April 13, 2023, with her family by her side, Mary “Grace” Ross (nee Fleming) passed away in her 96th year. Predeceased by her husband Tom (1999). Dear mother of Roy (Monica) Ross, Donna (Dave) Cook and Marilyn (Kevin) Graham. Loved by her grandchildren Peter (Teresa), David (Megan), Jonathan (Rebecca), Kimberley (Bryan), Allan, Taylor, Lauren (Luc), Jenna (Dave) and Lindsay (Jeremy) and 6 great-grandchildren. Also survived by one brother Sam Fleming. Predeceased by 2 sisters Ilene Dobson and Marguerite Gowing and 6 brothers Peter, Ivan, Leonard, Archie, Arnold and Jim Fleming. Grace was an active member of Guthrie Presbyterian Church, Alvinston for many years, Sunny Brooke Women’s Institute, Alvinston Book Club and Alvinston Senior’s Club. She enjoyed travelling, Saturday night dances with Tom, many years of quilting, playing cards at the Alvinston Legion and participated in many euchre tournaments throughout the county. Visitation will be held at Guthrie Presbyterian Church, Alvinston on Tuesday April 18 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where the memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Rev. Jo-Anne Symington officiating. Inurnment to follow at Alvinston Cemetery. In lieu of memorial donations, consider doing an act of kindness or good deed for someone in Grace’s memory. Special thanks to Dr. Butler and staff, palliative care nurses, PSW Dianne from Bayshore Homecare Service and Rev. Jo-Anne.
