Peacefully surrounded by family, after a long illness, Gordon «Butch» Wood of London in his 78th year. Beloved husband of the late Charmaine Lynn for 38 years. Cherished father of April (Darren) and Stephen (Matt). Beloved brother of Pat (the late Ted), Marion (the late Jerry) and Donna (Bruce). Loving uncle and great uncle of many nieces and nephews. Gord retired from the University of Western Ontario Faculty of Earth Science after 42 years. He was an avid outdoors man, a great fisherman and had great admiration of all animals. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received by the family one hour prior (2-3pm) to the funeral service being conducted on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at 3 pm at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London. In lieu of flowers donations in Gord’s memory may be made to the Humane Society of London & Middle, 624 Clarke Road, London, ON N5V 3K5.
