Ashton, Gloria Jean (née McKenna) – Entered into rest peacefully with family by her side at the Kingston General Hospital on Monday, July 17, 2023. Gloria at the age of 82, was the beloved wife of David Ashton. Loving Mother to son Wayne Ashton, and daughter-in-law Tracy Ashton. Cherished Grandma to Isaac and Hope Ashton. Dear sister to Joyce Billinton and her husband Roy. Predeceased by siblings Muriel Lapoint (and her husband Oscar), Bob McKenna (survived by his wife Marlene) and Gail Kennedy (survived by her husband John) as well as parents Joseph and Gertrude McKenna. She will be remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. A visitation will take place at the Stoddart Funeral Home, 24 Mill Street, Lindsay, Ontario, on Wednesday, July 26th from 6:00pm until 8:00pm., and on Thursday, July 27th from 12:00pm until time of funeral service in the chapel at 1:00pm. Interment to follow at Fallis Cemetery. If desired, a memorial donation may be made to Almost Home, Kingston, Ontario, which allowed Gloria’s family to be by her side while at Kingston General Hospital. Donations would be appreciated by the family.
