Gloria Nesta Crozier passed away peacefully on Friday, August 30, 2024 in her 97th year at Brucelea Haven, Walkerton. Loving wife of the late Orval Crozier. Predeceased by her first husband Keith Nicholls. Devoted mother of son Eddie Nicholls (Nora) and daughter Susan Symons (Dean). Cherished grandmother to Tania (Tim), Jody (Lee), Matthew (Rachel), Brooke (Mitch), Brandi (Carlos), Erin (Shawn), Liam (Jamila), Bridget (Colin) and great grandmother to 17 great grandchildren. Cherished aunt to Cheryl Schroeder (Don) and the late Shelly Sabourin (Poof). Predeceased by her parents Nesta and George Martin and Robert Vance and her siblings Eddie, Tom and Jean Edwards (Bob). Gloria was a faithful member of St. John’s Anglican Church in Port Elgin for many years, contributing generously to the life of the church. Gloria enjoyed many years as an active member of the Port Elgin Curling Club. She was often found playing cards with all her Bridge Girls. Gloria loved to tend to her home and gardens, but her favourite pastime was spent with her family. She loved to prepare and share her table with family and friends. A special thank you for the exceptional care given to our Mother for the last two years from the second floor west wing staff at Brucelea Haven, Walkerton. Funeral service to be held Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Anglican Church, 516 Mill Street, Port Elgin. A private family interment to follow and a celebration of life will follow in the St. John’s Church Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations would be greatly appreciated to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation or St. John’s Anglican Church.
