It is with great sadness and a heavy heart, that we announce the passing of Glenn White on January 29th, 2024, surrounded by his family at the Northern Lights Regional Health Centre.
For those who have had the honour of crossing paths with Glenn, you will share in our sadness and loss of this great man. He was a dedicated, hardworking father and employee. He enjoyed the outdoors, whether it was hunting, fishing, or spending time at the cabin, and enjoyed sharing his passion with his two sons. Glenn had a huge heart and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. He was a special man and will be missed by so many people.
Glenn was born in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NFLD, on December 12, 1973, as the eldest of two sons to Mincie & Patsy White. He worked as a Maintenance Planner at Suncor for the past 4 years, and previously worked at Shell/Canadian National.
Glenn met the love of his life, Susan, in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. They were married in May of 1999, and raised two wonderful sons: Dylan and Devin. They have lived in Labrador, Ontario, and then settled in Fort McMurray, Alberta for the past 14 years.
Glenn leaves behind to mourn his loss, his wife, Susan; sons: Dylan and Devin; parents: Mincie and Patsy White; brother, Joe; grandmother, Marg Fry; sister-in-law, Deb (Dan); brother-in-law, Chuck (Ashley), and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Glenn was predeceased by his in-laws, Rhodina and Mick Burns; sister-in-law, Wanda Burns; grandparents: Myrtle and Charlie White, Ebert Broomfield and Bill Fry.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, February 5, 2024 at 2:00pm at the All Nations Church, located at 104 Brett Drive, in Fort McMurray, Alberta.

orrow and a very heavy heart that we heard about the sudden passing of Glenn earlier this week. Glen was for us not only the amazing husband of a wonderful cousin, he was a great dad to his two beautiful boys and an amazing friend to all of us. The great times we shared with Glenn over the years in Glace Bay, at Parlée Beach in Shediac, in Cambridge, around the bonfire enjoying a drink at the lake house in Maine are moments that we will always cherish and keep in our hearts and memories. Glenn was a fantastic friend. His smile, his positivity, his dedication to his family and friends, his joie de vivre, and his sense of humour are what made him the amazing man that he was and what we will deeply miss.
We are very sorry for not being able to be there in person with you all to celebrate Glenn’s life. However, we want to send you all our deepest sympathies, our love and prayers during these very difficult times. In the coming days, when times get hard, please always remember the amazing man that Glenn was and the great impact he made in all our lives. Glenn may be gone physically, but he will always be there in spirit to guide you and to recomfort you when you need it the most. Please feel our arms around you. We love you all very very much. RIP Glenn. We will always love you.
