Glenn Alan Hawton died peacefully at Trillium Manor Long Term Care in Orillia on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at age 85 years. Glenn was the youngest child of the late Thomas Hawton and the late Eileen (nee Long). He will be greatly missed by his brothers and sisters, the late Doris Cober (the late Harold), the late Charles Hawton (Audrey), Gladys Doberthean (the late Harvey), the late Ronald Hawton (Joyce) and Ruth Weston (the late Oscar). He will be greatly missed by his many nieces, nephews and friends at Trillium Manor.
At a young age, Glenn sustained life threatening injuries from a serious fall. Glenn completed his education in Grade 6. He helped his parents on the family farm and worked for ARC Industries. Despite his limitations, Glenn always had a positive attitude. He resided with his parents and then relocated to a long-term care in Collingwood and then moved to Trillium Manor. Glenn was a resident of Trillium Manor for the past 6 years. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. The family is grateful for the wonderful staff that provided care to Glenn, while he resided at Trillium Manor.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Chatterson Funeral Home, Collingwood. A private family graveside service will take place at Brethren In Christ Cemetery.
