Glen Allyn LeClercq
Glen Allyn LeClercq of Mayerthorpe, Alberta passed away on February 9, 2024, with his family at his side.
Glen will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 47 years, Carolyn; children, Kara (John), Kristin (Tony) and Jordan (Jenna); grandchildren, Alanah, Emma, Owen, Annabelle, Carter, Cohen, Cash, Luna and Lillian; dear canine companion, Roxy; brothers, Dennis (Florence), Garry (Sharon) and Philip (Louise); sisters, Gail, Cheryl (Dale), and Sherrilynn. Glen was predeceased by parents, Stan and Edna and sister, Connie (Cameron).
Glen will be best remembered for the endless, everlasting love he had for his wife, children, and grandchildren. He had the uncanny ability to instantly know how to fix anything, a skill that was beneficial to many. Glen was a man of few words; he believed you learned more by listening rather than speaking. His trademark look with furrowed brows often gave you a sense of exactly what he was thinking. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Thank you to the doctors and staff of the Mayerthorpe Healthcare Centre and the University of Alberta Hospital ICU 3C3 for the compassionate care shown to Glen and the family.
Funeral Mass on Tuesday, February 13 at 12:00 p.m. at the Diamond Centre, 4918 – 54 Street, Mayerthorpe, with Reverend Father Felix Devasia officiating followed by the interment in the Mayerthorpe Cemetery.
Glen’s family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the many condolences and acts of kindness they received during this difficult time. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
In lieu of other tributes donations may be made to St. Agnes Building Fund, Box 417, Mayerthorpe, AB T0E 1N0 or the Friends of the Mayerthorpe Public Library Society, Box 810, Mayerthorpe.
Rest in peace Glen – your journey on earth is complete.
