Obituary
It is with sad hearts that the family of Gladys Cranford of New Harbour, share the news of her passing at the age of 89 years.
Gladys was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Erwin (Bub) Cranford; her parents Colin and Rita Pretty; parents-in-law John and Elizabeth Ann Cranford; brother Colin (Collie) Pretty; brother-in-law John Drover; sister and brother-in-law Florence and Warren Sellars; and her nephews Keith Pretty, Brian Pretty and Colin Drover.
Leaving to mourn the loss of their mother are her two sons, John (Glenda) and Peter (Leanne), with whom she resided; her grandchildren John Jr., Andrew, Leah and Amelia (Brad Pitcher); great-grandchildren Mia-Lynn and Landon; her sister Louise Drover; sister-in-law Marjorie Pretty; and their families; also, her new friends at the Shag Rock Manor where she resided in her final months.
Gladys was a teacher in her younger years at Buchans and Happy Adventure. She married Bub and they built a life together here in New Harbour, where she enjoyed her days as a loving Mom and Homemaker.
Resting at Warren’s Funeral Home, Dildo, on Thursday, December 19, 2024, from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 pm.
A service to celebrate Gladys’ life will be held from St. Augustine’s Anglican Church, New Harbour, on Friday, December 20, 2024, at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at St. Augustine’s Anglican Cemetery, New Harbour.
Donations in Gladys’ memory may be made to the Cranford Memorial Park, New Harbour.
