It’s with sadness that we announce on Saturday morning, November 23, 2024, the passing of Gisèle Courcelles (nee Magnan) at the age of 92.
She is survived by her husband Lionel, son Yves (Chérie), grandchildren Jude, Doriane and Caroline and her sister Berthe Rémillard (Yves).
Gisèle was predeceased by her parents Rémi (Clothide), brothers Marius, Zéphirin, Edouard, Gerard, Gonzague, Joseph, sisters Angeline, Agathe and Odile.
She was on September 17, 1932, in Ste. Anne, she chose a career in nursing LPN following training in Ste. Pink. She took care of many people during that career in Winnipeg and Ste. Anne. She married Lionel in 1973. Following the birth of her son, she left her career and went on to help her husband on the farm. She was known for her desserts, jams and preserves.
Born with scoliosis, she received an operation in 1999 to straighten her back. In 2014, for health reasons, she had to get the rods removed.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Viateur Parish Church, Otterburne, MB.

Gisèle is predeceased by her parents Rémi (Clothide_Josephine), brothers Marius, Zéphirin, Edouard, Gerard, Gonzague, Joseph, sisters Angeline, Agathe and Odile.
Gisèle is survived by her husband Lionel, son Yves (Chérie), grandchildren Jude, Doriane and Caroline and her sister Berthe Rémillard (Yves).

Born September 17, 1932 in the village of Ste. Anne, she chose a career as a LPN nurse and trained in Ste. Rose. She cared for many people during her nursing career in Winnipeg and Ste. Anne. She married Lionel in 1973. Following the birth of her son, she stopped working outside the home to help Lionel on the farm. She was skilled in the kitchen making desserts, jams and preserves.
Born with scoliosis, she underwent surgery in 1999 to straighten her back. In 2014, for health reasons, she was forced to have the bars removed.
Les funérailles auront lieu le vendredi 13 décembre 2024, à 11h00, en l’église paroissiale Saint-Viateur, Otterburne, MB.
