It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Gilbert Scharf on Wednesday September 11, 2024 at the age of 77. Loving husband of Elaine Scharf (Albert). Dad to Joey (Kim), Adam (Heather) and Barbara. Terrific grandpa to Cheyenne, Owen, Harper, Avery, Veronica, Crystal and Jennie. Great-Grandpa to 7. Dear brother of Wayne (Karen), Melvin (Sharon), Marlene (Butch Leader), Gail (Bob Biickert) and the late Gordon (Sharon), Joy (Gordon Meldrum) and Brenda (Dave Rushton). Son of the late Elisha and Hazel Scharf. Always remembered by many nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends. The family would like to thank the staff of the ICU at the Civic Hospital for their care and compassion. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Daley Family Funeral Home, 6971 Bank St. from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Thursday September 19. Funeral will be held on Friday September 20 in the Chapel at 11 am. If desired donations made to the charity of your choice would be appreciated. Condolences may be left at www.daleyffh.ca
