Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Gertrude Flora Le Blanc. She leaves behind her loving husband of 72 years, Gildas Joseph. She will forever be missed by her children, Brian (Perry) and Lorraine. She was a caring grandmother to Chrissy (Tom) and Melanie (Chris). Gertrude was a loving great-grandmother to Megan, Hannah, Jake, Nicholas, and Natalie.
Gertrude was the Matriarch of her family. She loved having everyone around her table once a week for what Brian called “The Sunday Food Festival”! This not only included family but also any friends who were able to join in because there would always be plenty of food! She was a kind, generous woman who would give all she could plus a little more. Whenever Special Occasions came around, she would always remind her family that it was more important to give her their presence rather than presents! She loved her family, flowers, dining in restaurants, and watching reruns of many of her favorite old shows, including “I Love Lucy,” “Archie” as she called it, and her very favorite, “Little House on The Prairie.”
A funeral will be held at St. Clements Catholic Church (409 Markland Dr, Etobicoke) on Thursday, August 24th at 10 am, followed by a burial at Assumption Catholic Cemetery (6933 Tomken Rd, Mississauga), where she will be laid to rest.
