Ruprecht, Gertrud
Passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at the Village at University Gates, Waterloo at the age of 93 years. Beloved wife of Paul Ruprecht, sharing their 72nd year of marriage together. Cherished mother of Rose Ruprecht (Linda) of Toronto, and John Paul Ruprecht (Deb) of Heidelberg. Dearly loved Oma of Jessica, Nicholas, Connor, and Jakob Ruprecht. Will be missed by her extended Ruprecht and Hoffmann families.
Predeceased by her parents Michael and Martha (Wigralla) Taukin, and her step-sisters, Lotti, Helga and Ruth.
Gertrud will be forever remembered as the love of her husband’s life, with a kind smile that brightened the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 11 a.m. The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at University Gates for their compassionate care. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated and may be made through the funeral home.
