Gerry Yantha Obituary
It is with heavy hearts and sadness that we announce the passing of our brother, brother-in-law, uncle & great-uncle. Gerry was a kind and humble person who lived his life quietly while always striving to do good for others. Gerry had many close friends that he kept in close contact with. He also had a special fur-friend (Sonny the cat) that he cared for whole-heartedly. As an avid sportsman, Gerry & Sonny enjoyed watching the Toronto Maple Leafs or the Toronto Blue Jays.
Gerry was predeceased by his parents Dorothy (Golka) & Dominic V. Yantha; his stepfather Mack Olsheskie and his siblings Robert & Danny.
Left to mourn his passing is his brother, Patrick (Gail) and sisters-in-law Debbie and Barbara. Gerry’s nieces and nephews Stephanie, Jennifer, Graham and James will miss him dearly.
As the family grew, Gerry took great pride in watching his great nieces & nephews Trevawn, Henry, Alina, George and Brynley. They brought immeasurable joy and he was always interested in their well-being.
Visitation will be held at Heubner Funeral Home, Barry’s Bay, April 9 from 2-4 & 7-9pm and again April 10 from 9-10am. Funeral Mass will be at St. Hedwig’s Roman Catholic Church at 1030am on April 10, 2024. Spring burial will be at the Annex.
Donations in memory of Gerry can be made to the St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation.
