Obituary
Passed peacefully on December 22, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer, Gerard O’Keefe. Gerard wanted to live until Christmas, and he did as he carried the sharing spirit of Christmas with him his whole life.
He was predeceased by his mother, Ruth Wyse O’Keefe (2016), his father James O’Keefe (1973), nephew Colin Walbourne and niece Robyn Hancock, brother-in-law Wayne Spearns.
Leaving to mourn his sisters; Marilyn (Don Walbourne), Carla, Terrie (Steve Anderson) and his brothers Bill, and Jim. Gerard also leaves his best friend Bill Maddigan who was faithful and loyal to Gerard right to the end. Missing Gerard will also be his nieces; Tara, Erin, Donna, and nephews; Michael, Craig, and Stefan. Gerard received love and support from his special cousins, Margie Murray Reed, and Maureen Murphy. Gerard also leaves many other family and friends.
Many thanks to the residents of St. George’s Court who were friends for many years.
We will forever be grateful to the home care workers from Angels of Hope. They went above and beyond in their care for Gerard.
Rest easy Gerard, we will miss you every day.
