On a beautiful spring night, surrounded by nature, we lost an angel. It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that we announce the passing of Jerry Rochon.
With his family at his side Jerry (Gerard) Yvon Rochon passed away after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 82 on June 02, 2023. Beloved husband of Jo-Anne Rochon. Cherished father of Julie Ann York (Jim York), Stephanie Rochon and Rose Marie Rochon. Loving grandfather of Jacob Guerin, Steven York and Keegan Ansley. Precious brother to 13 siblings. Jerry was an award-winning gardener, known for spending hours a day nurturing his plants, watching his birds and tirelessly working on his coveted gardens. He was a wonderful neighbour, happy to talk to anyone who stopped by to compliment him on his front yard or ask him questions about his plants. But above all, his family was everything to him. He will be terribly missed by everyone who knew and loved him. We will keep his kind wisdom and humble spirit in our hearts forever. Special thanks to the staff at Margaret’s Place Hospice for their gentle and caring nature through Jerry’s stay. We are forever grateful for what they gave him during his last days.
Cremation has taken place.
Jerry’s family will be having a Service at 1 p.m. followed by a reception on Thursday June 6, 2023 at Circle of Life Cremation and Burial Centre, 100 King Street East, Dundas, ON (additional parking at the Air Force Club).
In lieu of flowers, donations to Margaret’s Place would be greatly appreciated.
