Passed away peacefully at Brightshores Health System – Owen Sound on Monday, May 20, 2024.
Born in Carrick, Ontario on February 5, 1934, Irene Geraldine Beninger (nee Kocher) of Owen Sound, was in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late Harry J. Beninger (2010).
Loving mother of Dan Beninger (Joan) and Ruth Ann Brainard (Grant). Cherished grandma of Jane Funck (Kevin), Dr. Julie Williams (Les), Jason Brainard (Katie), Jonathan Beninger (Candace) and Sarah Gateman (Scott) and great-grandmother of Eric Funck, Tessa Brainard, Paul Williams, Luke Williams, Anna Beninger and Zane Gateman. Dear sister of Ruth Klassen. Geraldine will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Predeceased by her parents Edward and Loretta Kocher (nee Mc Intee), siblings Marlene Valad, Wilbur Beninger and Ruth Bruder, and by his in laws Jerry Valad, Dr. Ed Klassen, Irene Beninger and George Bruder.
