Our hearts are saddened by the news that another great light has gone out; the passing of our brother, uncle, great uncle, great grand uncle, cousin, friend of many, Gerald Howard Desmond.
Born in New Glasgow, NS on October 8, 1964, Gerald was a son of the late Rosalie and James Desmond. He was a brother of the late Francis Desmond and the late Carmen Borden (Jake Borden); nephew of the late Eugene Russel, the late Olive Clark, and the late Charles “Snookie” Tynes.
Survived by sisters, Nancy Ogunniya-Clyke (Freddy), of Whitby, ON, Laura Desmond, of Toronto, ON, Candace Roopchand (Kashraj), of Brampton, ON, Jean Desmond, of Truro, NS, Carol Desmond, of Truro, NS, Sabrina Desmond, of Scarborough, ON; brother, James Murray Desmond, of Truro, NS; uncle, Carmen Winston, of Norfolk, Virginia.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, from 1 – 2 p.m., with funeral service at 2 p.m., both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro with Rev. Sherroly Riley officiating. Online condolences may be made at www.ColchesterCommunity.com
