Gerry was born in Fredericton, New Brunswick on February 4, 1953, to Irvine and Florence Endall. He passed away peacefully at the Dr. Everette Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton, New Brunswick on March 17, 2024, at the age of 71 years.
Gerry had a very full and sports orientated life. Gerry started his career early in life becoming a meat cutter / manager (butcher) at Dominion Meats. He then moved on to the Chippin Meat Plant, Save-Easy and finished his career in the Meat Department at the Oromocto Superstore and the Nashwaaksis Superstore. During his years working in numerous meat departments, he taught and mentored many people and created great friendships with fellow co-workers and customers.
Gerry spent many years in Fredericton playing both hockey, ball hockey, fastpitch and softball. Known for being a goalie and back catcher, his playing career created many memories and lasting friendships. He was also very involved with coaching during his kids younger years on many of Fredericton’s Minor sports teams.
Later in life, Gerry enjoyed playing crib, watch sports on tv, and cheering on his beloved New York Islanders.
Left to mourn his passing and celebrate his life are his sons, Jerry (Danielle) Endall and Mike Endall, their mother, Charlotte Endall; his grandchildren; Kaitlynn, Bailey, Tyson and Ryder Endall; a special mention to Shellie Morton and her boys, Brodie and Connor Durling; as well as many great friends.
Gerry was predeceased by his mother Florence Endall, his father Irvine Endall and his brother George Endall.
A celebration of Gerry’s life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at the Kin Club of Nashwaaksis (141 School St, Fredericton, NB, E3A 2Y6).
