George Smith passed away in his home October 21, 2024, just shy of his 81st birthday. George left behind his beloved spouse of 45 years Brenda Allison and their children Sean Smith of Bancroft, Brad and Erica of Maynooth, and Amber and Drew of Surrey, British Columbia, and of course his dog Riley. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren; Jade, Alyssa, Jordan, Makenzie, Chloe, Emery, Georgia and Arlo. Brother in law to Dale and Lynn Allison. Brother of Peter and Ann, Margaret, Mary and Chris, and Mike and Debbie. Pre-deceased by his parents Peter and Annie Smith, brother Robert Smith, and father and mother in-law Earl and Karen Allison. His daily presence on his courier run will be incredibly missed by all of his beloved friends at Bancroft and Belleville Hospitals. The hunting camp that George looked forward to going to every year will most definitely not be as entertaining without him there. George could always be found outside of work with his favourite drink by his pool, sneaking off to the camp to discuss hunting season, watching a Jays game or doing puzzles at the dinner table where he welcomed everyone with open arms and whatever smart comment he could come up with. Forever in our hearts.
