Mr. George “June” Janes of Spaniard’s Bay, passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Thursday, February 29, 2024. Mr. Janes was 78 years old.
Leaving to mourn his loving family:
Children: George (Joy) Janes, Marilyn (Gary) LeDrew, April (Robert) & Scott (Tina) Janes
Grandchildren: Gordon, Adam, Jordan, Kenneth, Terry, Michael & Rebecca
Siblings: Pat (Judy), Mary (Jim) & Sadie (Gerald)
Sister-in-law: Florence
And a large circle of other relatives & friends
Predeceased by:
Wife: Joan
Son-in-law: Reginald Saunders
Parents: George & Blanche
Siblings: Edward (Joan), Bob, Martin, Shirley (Roland) & John
The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Slade’s Funeral Home, 488 Conception Bay Highway, Spaniard’s Bay on Sunday: 7-8:30 P.M. In lieu of flowers, as expressions of sympathy donations may be made in his loving memory to the Canadian Cancer Society.
Closing Prayers will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2024 at 8:30 P.M. from Slade’s Funeral Home, Spaniard’s Bay. Interment will follow at a later date.
