Peacefully at Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg on Thursday November 30, 2023 in his 96th year. He home with his lord and saviour Jesus Christ and is reunited with his beloved wife the late Eleanor Hope Holdaway. Dear uncle of David Martyn (Ottawa), Gayle Lattimore (B.C.) and the late Marta Amo (Kingston). Allan will be missed by Clive and Elizabeth Montgomery, as well as his many friends and extended family.
Allan graduated high school in 1948. He was a member of many community organizations including The Newtonville Royals ball team, the board at the Golden Plough Lodge, the Bewdley and district Lions Club and was a board member of Grave Missionary Church. He was also a Councilor for Hope Township from 1980 – 1985 and Deputy Reeve of Hope Township from 1986 – 1994.
Service will be held at Ross Funeral Chapel, Port Hope on Wednesday December 13, 2023 at 12 noon with visiting one hour prior.
