Gelsomina DiDomizio died peacefully on January 20, 2023, at Northumberland Hills Hospital. Pre-deceased by her husband Emidio DiDomizio in 1997. She is survived by her children Angelo DiDomizio and Linda (Wayne) Goodwin and her grandchildren Jason Goodwin, Michael (Diane Ndutiye) DiDomizio and Christopher (Andrea) DiDomizio, and three great-grandchildren. Everyone that knew Gina experienced her kind heart. She never complained. She always expressed her gratitude. She was a happy soul. She was selfless as it was important to her to know that everyone was going to be okay before she moved on. When we asked her, “How are you doing? Are you in pain?” She’d respond, “Are you okay?” always putting others first.
Gina’s Family wishes to thank the staff at Northumberland Hills Hospital, her doctors, HomeCare, Palisade Gardens, her PSWs , and all of our dear friends who were there for her and our family.
A visitation will be held at MacCoubrey Funeral Home Thursday, January 26, 2023 from 10:00 – 12:00PM with a service at 12:00PM. Following the service, a celebration of Gina’s life will be held in the reception centre of MacCoubrey Funeral Home where friends and family can laugh, share stories, and celebrate a wonderful, loving woman. To those who wish to attend, an interment will take place at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Cobourg at 3:00PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Princess Margaret Hospital.
