Obituary
Passed away peacefully at Brightshores Health System – Owen Sound, on Tuesday, October 31, 2023. Born in Wiarton on November 1, 1936, Gary Robert Williams of Owen Sound, was in his 86th year.
Beloved husband of Louise (nee Benner) of Owen Sound. Loving father of Paul Williams (Carole) of Owen Sound, Dianna Cragg (James) of London and Susan Wright (Kelly) of Owen Sound. Cherished grandpa of Fawn (Jeremie), Matthew (Nicole), Cory (Alissa), Megan (Clint), Erin and Maci. Gary will be missed by his 7 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Dear brother of Arthur Williams (Lannette) of Penetanguishene, Yvonne Jones of Canmore, Alberta, Marion Schurman of Moncton, New Brunswick, and Terry Williams (Jean) of Wyevale. Gary will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Predeceased by his parents, Stewart and Elva, and by 8 siblings.
Gary loved traveling, camping, woodworking, cruising and being with family.
A memorial service to celebrate Gary’s life will be held at Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th St. W., Owen Sound, 519-376-7492, on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at 1:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior. For those unable to attend in person, the service will be livestreamed.
