In loving memory of Gary Taylor who passed away after a long illness on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at Health Sciences North at the age of 70. He is the beloved husband and best friend of Cathy Taylor (Petahtegoose). Loving father of Shannon Taylor (Scott Henderson), Dawn Debassige (Ian Hunter), Tiffany Taylor (Curtis Groulx) and Ashley Taylor (Graham McAlister). Cherished grandfather of Harper, Amber, and Terrence Hunter. Gary will be missed by his canine best friend Cookie. Dear brother of Greg predeceased (Denise Fraser) and David. Predeceased by his parents Ken and Helen Taylor (Lambert). Remembered by his many nieces and nephews especially Erin Robinson, Jodi Robertson, Amanda Copegog and Jeff Petahtegoose.
Gary enjoyed life. He loved to laugh, the slots, movies antiques and thrifting, cooking and dancing. He was known for his signature dance move “The Chocolate Swirl”. He had a huge sweet tooth and never turned down a dessert. Gary was the happiest when surrounded by his girls and would do anything for them. The family would like to thank the staff at Finlandia for all the care and compassion given to Gary while he was there.
A memorial service will be held at the Lougheed Funeral Home, 252 Regent Street, Sudbury on Friday, May 12th, 2023 at 11:30am. Friends may gather after 10am. Donations to Finlandia Village would be appreciated.
