It is with heavy hearts that the family of Gary Knutson, announce his passing on Monday, September 4, 2023, in Regina, SK at the age of 83 years. Gary was predeceased by his parents Archie and Nellie Knutson and his son Brian. Survived by his loving partner, Betty Ann Kuzma; son Dean of Vernon, BC; grandson Michael; and siblings, Marvin Knutson; Karen Knutson (Brian) of North Vancouver, BC; Daniel Knutson of Courtney, BC; and Cliff Knutson (Roberta). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Gary was an avid motorcycle rider and he enjoyed riding his Yamaha over the last 40 years across North America. He had a keen sense of creativity, making things out of whatever he could find from iron to rocks. He was generous with his time and enjoyed being able to help people and he was very supportive and caring towards his neighbours and those who were blessed to know him. Gary was quick witted and full of humour and could always be found with a good joke. He was a man of integrity and honesty and loved to spend time with his family. His children and his grandson, Michael were most important, and he thoroughly enjoyed anytime he could spend with them. Gary was great at motivating you to step out of your comfort zone and encouraging people to find the ways to fulfil their wishes of completing a new hobby or the little tasks.
He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
In keeping with Gary’s wishes, cremation has taken place. For those that wish to donate in his memory, you may do so by donating to your local AA group, or the charity of your choice.
